Quotes of the Morning: You Need an 'Ann' to Spell 'Gannon'

"Likewise, many of the same leftist blogs that castigate the religious right for intolerance didn't hesitate to reveal the sexual peculiarities of White House correspondent/sympathizer James Guckert, aka Jeff Gannon."
-FOX News, February 23, 2005

“I didn’t realize that prostitution was a ‘sexual peculiarity’. I always kind of thought that it was just a criminal offense.”
-Skippy

“The heretofore-unknown Jeff Gannon of the heretofore-unknown ‘Talon News’ service was caught red-handed asking friendly questions at a White House press briefing. Now the media is hot on the trail of a gay escort service that Gannon may have run some years ago. Are we supposed to like gay people now, or hate them? Is there a Web site where I can go to and find out how the Democrats want me to feel about gay people on a moment-to-moment basis?
Liberals keep rolling out a scrolling series of attacks on Gannon for their Two Minutes Hate, but all their other charges against him fall apart after three seconds of scrutiny. Gannon's only offense is that he may be gay.”
-Ann Coulter, February 23, 2005

“Actually Ann, Gannon’s offense isn’t that he may be gay. Frankly, I couldn’t care less. His offense it that he was a prostitute who was still advertising his services on web sites after he gained access to the White House for several years using a ‘day pass’ that isn’t supposed to be able to be used like that. He then seems to have acted as a mouthpiece for the administration while pretending to be an actual journalist and has been linked to the Valerie Plame investigation. The fact that he is a gay or bisexual male who seems to have written several negative articles about gays is simply icing on the cake.”
-Skippy

“Gannon didn't write about gays. No ‘hypocrisy’ is being exposed. Liberals' hateful, frothing-at-the-mouth campaign against Gannon consists solely of their claim that he is gay.”
-Ann Coulter, February 23, 2005

“Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Ann Coulter. Beloved mouthpiece of the far right. People actually listen to her.”
-Skippy
